Eine mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrungsweise ist nicht nur gut f\u00fcr die Gesundheit, sondern schont auch den Geldbeutel. Das ist das Ergebnis einer Studie der University of South Australia, in der drei verschiedene Ern\u00e4hrungsformen verglichen wurden: eine typisch australische Ern\u00e4hrung, die der in Europa und den USA \u00fcblichen westlichen Ern\u00e4hrungsweise entspricht, eine mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung (\u201eMittelmeerdi\u00e4t\u201c) und eine Ern\u00e4hrung, die an die australischen Ern\u00e4hrungsrichtlinien angepasst ist.<\/p>\n

Der Begriff \u201emediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung\u201c beschreibt die traditionelle K\u00fcche der L\u00e4nder rund um das Mittelmeer. Sie zeichnet sich durch eine reiche Auswahl an Obst, Gem\u00fcse, Vollkornprodukten, N\u00fcssen, Oliven\u00f6l und Meeresfr\u00fcchten aus und liefert viele Vitamine, Spurenelemente, Ballaststoffe, biologisch aktive Pflanzenstoffe, Omega-3-Fetts\u00e4uren und andere wertvolle Mikron\u00e4hrstoffe.<\/p>\n

Im Fachmagazin \u201eNutrients\u201c berichten die Autoren der Studie, dass die mediterrane Ern\u00e4hrung alle Empfehlungen f\u00fcr eine gute Gesundheit erf\u00fcllt und zudem die kosteng\u00fcnstigste Ern\u00e4hrungsform ist. So spart eine vierk\u00f6pfige Familie, die sich mediterran ern\u00e4hrt, im Vergleich zu einer westlichen Ern\u00e4hrungsweise 28 australische Dollar (umgerechnet ca. 17 Euro) pro Woche.<\/p>\n
