Patented technology to help to normalize high blood sugar levels – naturally

More than 60 million people in Europe suffer from diabetes, and hundreds of thousands die each year from complications of this disease. Diabetic disorders have a genetic background and are divided into two types: juvenile diabetes (Type 1), and adult-onset diabetes (Type 2). Juvenile diabetes requires regular insulin injections from a young age. The majority of diabetic patients, however, develop this disease later in life. Until recently, the causes that trigger the sudden onset of the disease have been largely unknown, and treatment has consisted of lowering blood sugar levels with various drugs. However, diabetic cardiovascular complications occur even in those patients with controlled blood sugar levels. Thus, lowering blood sugar levels is a necessary but incomplete measure to address diabetic disorders.

New research shows that the primary cause of adult diabetes is a long-term deficiency of dietary vitamins and other essential nutrients in the cells of our body. This affects particularly the pancreas, the organ that produces insulin, and the blood vessel walls.   • Micronutrients increase glucose uptake by cells

One of the important ways to normalize elevated blood glucose levels is to optimize uptake of glucose by the cells of our body. The adjacent graph (A) shows that a combination of three micronutrient compositions (core, mineral and D3/K2), taken together, could enhance cellular glucose uptake more than fivefold compared to a control. Better cellular glucose uptake means less glucose in blood.

  • Micronutrients increase insulin secretion by pancreatic cells

Insufficient insulin production by the hormonal cells of the pancreas is a primary cause of diabetes. The results on the adjacent graph (B) show that specific micronutrient combinations can increase the secretion of insulin by pancreas cells in a natural way. At the highest micronutrient concentration tested in this study, the insulin secretion was twice as high as in controls. More insulin means more cellular glucose uptake and, hence, a lowering of high blood sugar.

  • Micronutrients help to protect nerve cells from diabetic damage

One of the long-term complications of diabetes is the deposition of dangerous byproducts generated by high glucose. These so-called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs*) include certain proteins, lipids and other compounds. By becoming encrusted with sugar molecules, these AGEs can have a toxic effect on all cells, and in particular on the cells of the nervous system. Further results show that a triple combination of micronutrients can protect up to 80% of nerve (glial) cells from the deadly damages caused by AGEs. The more cells surviving high glucose damage, the better the nervous system is protected in diabetes.

Micronutrient combinations help to normalize high blood sugar levels

The following experiments were part of the scientific proof that led to the Patent Office approval of this natural technology to help fight diabetes.

Figure A shows that different micronutrient combinations (blue) can greatly increase the uptake of sugar by body cells, and thereby help to lower elevated blood sugar levels. Taken together, these micronutrient combinations can increase the sugar uptake more than five-fold compared to controls.

Figure B documents another breakthrough experiment from this patent. Micronutrient combinations can stimulate the production/secretion of insulin — the decisive sugar-level-regulating hormone – in human pancreas cells. Thus, optimum micronutrient supplementation contributes to optimum availability of insulin in healthy people and to insulin-sparing in diabetic patients.
